The mesh goes sheer at the edges in sunlight, which is exactly the effect I was hoping for. Wore it to an outdoor dinner and the swirl cut kept catching the breeze all night.
The way the mesh catches the light during late afternoon makes the purple look almost iridescent, and the breeze really does lift the hem just as described. I’ve worn it twice now and the wrap tie stays put without constant adjusting, which is my usual pet peeve with skirts like this.
